SSRSC-2 2009 @ Team21 - Mönsterås, 4-5 april

Here is the invitation to SSRSC-2 2009 in Mönsterås

The SSRSC-rules are the same as the last years = "the race we will follow 2007 Finnish Slotracing Rules, ESROC rules and SSRSC regulations".

(the Box12 technical rules are the same as the swedish - www.sveslot.se/regler/box12.html - and for OMO-G7 and G7 the same as Esroc's - team21.se/esroc2008.pdf )

Exceptions from the SSRSC-rules for this race are:
* Box12 - racing on sprayglue
* Box12 - only 1,5 minutes (not 3 min) lanechange and 1 more minute drivingtime in the quarters (=8x2 min) and in the main (=8x3 min)
* G7 - quarters will be driven on saturday evening
* ev. more upcoming exceptions will be announced later

ALL AND EVERY RACER are encouraged to enter the Box12-race, this is race to win if you want to have something to brag about for the next years to come ...or don't you have the guts to compete against Guss - Landrud - Lasse - Juha - Kimmo and the locals?
In order to encourage also young racers to enter the Box12-race there will be separate prizes (or even a separate race-in-the-race) also for young juniors / kids. There will be separate prizes (trophies and parts) for overall + juniors + kids.

We will publish a detailed time-schedule and and complete startinglists a few days after the registration is over.

If possible, we wouldn't be sorry if someone could open the club at the time we (7 finns) arrive to M:rås. It's quite a long wait 'till 3 PM since we'll probably be there between 11 and 12 if things go as usual.

Another weekend with intense wingcar-racing is over. It was very nice to see you all again. The next race in the series is in Norsjö, hope to see you all there.
Thanks too all racers and to Andy and to all helpful hands from the girls at the club, we are all part of the wingracing family ...and what would we do without eachother???

* Lots of Box12 and OMO drivers is definitely a good thing, showing the vitality of the hobby. Too bad the local big guns weren't running G7 save for Gus.
* I haven't noticed before but the ceiling had sound dampening that worked well. I didn't actually long for my earplugs.
* The lapcounter has been moved to the bank so there's no more light bulb ramp mayhem after finger. Nice job, this time I broke absolutely nothing during the entire weekend.
* Timetable held nicely.
* Track surface had same issues as before. It took almost the entire OMO race to get it driveable. Maybe repaint since the sections are not completely right now after moving the lapcounter?
* Buffet had good range of stuff for sale.

I'd certainly like to see wingcar euronats in Mönsterås soon. I really can't come up with any reason why not.
